Family Reunions.
It seems I only hear about the family
reunions after the fact. So if anyone has any information about any future
reunions, PLEASE let me know. I will post that info here and
maybe help make your get-together even more of a success.
I'd also like to have pictures from any past gatherings to post to the website.
Everyone should realize that this is now a rather large family, regardless of what your father told you, and attending a reunion doesn't necessarily mean you will run into those cousins you played with as a kid. More likely you will meet distant cousins with a common interest in family and maybe even make a friend for life.

family reunion was held at the St John's County Fairgrounds in St. Augustine
,FL in October of 2007. I understand that
most of the attendees were family members from that state, that there was a good
turnout and the event was considered a huge success. At this time, there are no plans
for a future repeat of this reunion. I am trying to get pictures and possibly updates on future plans.

An Altizer family
reunion was held at Lake Witten Park in Tazewell, VA in July of 2007. It
is my understanding that the turnout was rather small and visitors from
out-of-state were somewhat disappointed. However plans and hopes for next
year are high. The plan is to have this get-together each year on
the 3rd Saturday in July.
